Google Ads vs Facebook Ads vs Instagram Ads vs Twitter Ads

Okay Google Ads vs. Facebook ads vs Instagram ads versus Twitter ads.

Todayin this article we are going to see about which advertising platform you should use depending on your business.

I’m gonna be ranking key metrics like

  • customer support
  • how easy it is to reach them
  • ROI reach
  • click-through rates

All that kind of stuff.

All right so without further let’s go ahead and get started.

Evaluate what your goals are and what’s the purpose of running ads for your business

If the goal is to reach the maximum amount of people possible get some engagement.

And kind of build up brand awareness.

facebook / instagram and twitter are the way to go if your goal is to get high quality leads and high paying clients.

And you’re better off going with Google Ads.

So now I’m gonna kind of do an in-depth breakthrough of all of these platforms.

So let’s go ahead and start with Google Ads.

Number one best customer service

Out  of all the advertising platforms they have a phone number right here where you can reach a Google Ad specialist.

You can email them they overall have great support whereas the other platforms it’s hard to get any response from Facebook and Twitter.

They have an email but you know a phone number is always the best of customer service.

Google Ads definitely wins what I really like about Google Ads is you only pay if someone clicks.

As it says here you only pay for results like clicks to your website or calls to your business.

So you’re not gonna be paying per impression like you would on Facebook or Instagram.

That’s what I really like about Google ads and that’s why a lot of people use it.

So you can show up when people search for what you offer.

So it’s actually warm leads it’s people who you know that they’re interested in your product whereas.

In Facebook Instagram and Twitter you don’t really know if they’re interested.

Just kind of hoping they are based on my targeting.

But for Google ads you know because people are searching for you.

know this key term and then you show up so you know that they are interested in that and of course you can set a budget.

And yeah overall looks pretty good that is kind of the high-level overview of Google Ads.

So again if you want actual leads if you want high paying clients be prepared to pay a little bit more with Google Ads.  It’s expensive but that is because the people are really interested in what you have to offer.

And you’re not just paying by impression.

So for example I was experimenting with running some ads for my agency of course it was expensive.

but the thing is if I can get five hundred to one thousand dollars per customer.

I don’t mind shelling out 20 30 40 50 maybe even 60 to 70 dollars to get a customer right.

I’m willing to pay that because what they pay me is so much more.

And let’s say you’re paying like three to five dollars per click right and then if 10 people click on your site out of one of those you can convert them to a lead.

HubSpot

And maybe out of every three leads you can convert a one to a customer.

So you are gonna be putting a decent amount into these ads but with that you will be able to get a lot back.

So that is what I like about Google ads.

It’s warm traffic you know that they’re interested.

So that is high level overview Google ads.

Now to Facebook and Instagram ads

If you want to reach the maximum amount of people if you want to get your brand out there get some website visits then this is the place for you to do that.

What I use Facebook and Instagram ads for specifically Instagram ads is if I want more followers if I want to promote a product and get Instagram followers.

At the same time I will use Instagram ads with Facebook Ads.

Make sure you have a Facebook page and you’re posting content on your Facebook page okay.

I don’t just want to run ads for the product I want to run ads to build up – but the product get some product sales.

But at the same time you know maybe I’ll get some more followers on Instagram or get some more people visiting my Facebook page.

So make sure you’re very active with whatever you are.

If you’re on if you’re gonna advertise on Facebook make sure you have an active Facebook page and you have an active Instagram account.

Bigger then you can convert those people who are purchasing your products to Instagram followers.

And then from there you can keep going and sell them more product.

Whereas with something like Google Ads you know once they kind of visit your site they won’t really be reminded of it.

Again whereas in Facebook or Instagram they can kind of keep updated they can follow your profile etc.

And it’s kind of the same thing with Twitter you know people will see your content they’ll maybe retweet they’ll comment maybe they’ll give you a follow.

So you can promote your product or service or whatever and at the same time get some more followers and get some more engagement which is the primary purpose.

Twitter ads

Of what I would use these three platforms for now.

one great thing about Twitter is as says here set a budget and pay for what works.

Only pay when users follow your account or retweet like reply or click on your promoted tweet.

Your include complete control there’s no minimum spend and you can start and stop at any time.

So that is what I do like about Twitter.

And what I don’t like about Facebook and Instagram a lot of the times people will just you know shell out money on Facebook or Instagram ads and you’ll never get it back.

Because you’re just pinging based on the impression right.

So you don’t know if anyone’s gonna buy or interact with their content.

Whereas in Twitter and Google Ads it’s kind of more you’re paying for the results but at the same time it’ll be more expensive.

So take this with a grain of salt so that is kind of the high level overview and the main pros and cons of each social media platform.

That is kind of the overall summary.

Now in deciding which one you’re gonna use

What you want to do is reverse engineer what you’re selling and figure out where your potential audiences are.

So if you’re selling dance classes for example right here you have to realize that people aren’t gonna be going on Instagram or Twitter to find dance Classes.

they’re gonna go on Google and search for it.

So you have to reverse engineer what your business is about.

However if you’re selling like fashion accessories Instagram and Facebook is a great place to do it.

And use that targeting because people interested in fashion are probably gonna be on Instagram.

And when they’re scrolling they say hey I like this and then maybe they’ll buy it.

Whereas in Google Ads it’s unlikely that people are gonna be actively searching for whatever fashion accessory you’re selling.

And it’s also probably gonna be very expensive so we reverse engineer your business and find out what would work for you.

Now I’ve been trying to go hard on Twitter recently just because Twitter has grown so much and there’s so many people.

What’s important with Twitter is you need to have a very very effective scroll stopper.

Which means when someone sees your ad they have to immediately kind of be captivated by it.

If they keep scrolling you know that’s it.

And I really that’s true for Facebook and Instagram too.

But especially with Twitter you want to have some call to action involving like or retweet or a heart.

HubSpot

Because not many people are gonna actually click on your site and visit it.

But  if you can get a lot of retweets and a lot of comments it’ll it’ll work right.

You’ll generate some brand awareness a lot of people will be driven to your profile.

So at the very least if you’re gonna add work on Twitter make sure you have some sort of call to action regarding retweet this.

If you liked it comment what’s your favorite whatever is but try to get a lot of engagement on Twitter..

Because when people engage on Twitter shows up on their friends feed.

And when people like a post on Instagram none of our friend no one else really sees it right.

It’s unlikely that I’m gonna see what my friend liked on Instagram.

So that is something to keep in mind with Twitter.

That is not necessarily true on Instagram or Facebook.

Now I want to talk about Facebook and Instagram specifically and whether you should use one or the other

Now as a general rule of thumb something that I found to be somewhat true is.

If you want to reach an older audience use Facebook.

If you want to reach an young garadi ensues Instagram.

I know that may seem kind of obvious but it makes sense there’s a kind of an older demographic on Facebook.

And a lot of younger people are on Instagram.

Also if you are gonna be using Facebook I recommend just using the Facebook like feed.

And really nothing else you can experiment with something like messenger ads.

Which people have been talking about recently  but with Instagram there’s Instagram stories and the Instagram feed.

Which both work very very well.

So in terms of other options there’s a lot to do Instagram you can experiment with stories and posts but with Facebook I just recommend the Facebook feed.

To be honest just so you know when people see it they see it.

Other than that people aren’t gonna be looking at anything else on Facebook.

Both Instagram there is some other kind of opportunities.

So you know there’s a specific reason why you should use each of these social media platforms.

As I said reverse engineer your business and where audience is in terms of the conversions.

It’s negligible right because it depends on your targeting and all of that.

So it’s hard to give broad general advice on this platform converts the best versus this platform.

But what I can tell you is you need to find out who your audience is and who you’re targeting.

And based on on what I said with this article you should be able to come up with a strategy or you should be able to find out through one of these platforms where your audience is okay.
